| Effective December 2, 2006, Outlook passwords will need to be a minimum of 6 characters in length and need to be complex in nature. Complex passwords must contain at least one upper case and one lower case "Alpha" character and at least one "Numeric" character. (Special characters such as #, @, or & can be used for extra security but are not required at this time) It is also important to note that the system will not allow you to generate a password that includes your username. |
| Important: As of 7/14/2006, the domain name for all Dept of Education e-mail addresses has changed from nycboe.net to schools.nyc.gov. Please make sure that you update any lists that you subscribe to and all vendors and contacts of this change. |
Use Outlook Web Access to access your Dept. of Education e-mail.

- If you are unable to login to your e-mail account, please use the Password Reset Tool, or call the DoE Help Desk at 718-935-5100.
Select the menu option for "Issues with Microsoft Outlook."- Change your initial password once you've logged in. mirror

- Note: All messages in all folders, including the Inbox, Drafts, Sent and Deleted items folders count against your mailbox quota. If you get a "Mailbox over limit" message, make sure that you delete all items you don't need in the "Deleted items," Sent, Drafts and Inbox folders.
